Safety is a core value of Hidalgo Industrial Services. Adherence to safe work practices that provide a safe work environment is not just a statement. It is a deep and abiding commitment - a moral obligation - to our employees and clients alike. Safety is more important than profit, quality or schedule.
At Hidalgo we're never satisfied. We continuously look for ways to improve our safety program. Our safety program is monitored for its effectiveness. Initiatives to enhance employee focus on safe work behaviors and instill safe work habits are integrated into the program on an ongoing basis. We believe the safety philosophy that zero recordable incidents can be accomplished with proper training, planning, resources and follow-through.
- Our company and our employees have a total commitment to Safety. This is reflected in our EMR decreasing yearly as a direct result of fewer incidents and accidents allowing our employees to make it home safely to their families.
- Every project begins with Safety planning and ends with a Safety discussion and lessons for improvement.
- All employees begin each and every meeting with a Safety item of discussion.
- Superintendents execute weekly Safety meetings on every project.
- Daily Safety Analysis (DSA) is performed by our Superintendents.
- Superintendents complete a minimum OSHA 30 hour training.
- Craft employees complete a minimum OSHA 10 hour training.
